Comedian and author with diverse performances
Robin Ince is a comedian, author, broadcaster, and advocate for scientific thought. He is best known for co-presenting the award-winning BBC Radio 4 program, The Infinite Monkey Cage, alongside Professor Brian Cox. Robin also co-presents Josie and Robin's Book Shambles, a podcast as part of the Cosmic Shambles Network, which he helped create in 2017.

Robin's career is a testament to his versatility in the entertainment industry. In 1990, he embarked on his stand-up comedy journey at the Edinburgh Festival, which led him to success with his Book Club act and the Time Out Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy in 2006. Alongside stand-up, he has worked as a comedy writer and performer on shows like Channel 4's 11 O'Clock and appeared on popular TV shows like The Office and Mock The Week.

Robin’s career is a unique blend of comedy and science. His passion for science is evident in his regular contributions to scientific events and festivals. He co-created The Incomplete Map of the Cosmic Genome, an online science magazine featuring contributors such as Stephen Fry, Chris Hadfield, and Stewart Lee. Robin's ability to combine science and entertainment in his variety shows has earned him the reputation of a 'becardiganed polymath' by the Guardian. This title captures his unique blend of intellect and humour.

Robin is a great choice if you're looking for an intellectual, funny and entertaining speaker for your event. His latest book, Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal: My Adventures in Neurodiversity, showcases not only his passion for science and curiosity, but also his deeply personal reflections on navigating anxiety, attention, and difference. Drawing on his own experiences and conversations with psychologists, scientists, and others, Robin offers a witty and insightful perspective on the quirks of the human mind and the value of embracing how we each see the world.

Have all the speakers on the website previously worked with PepTalk?

Not necessarily. While the speakers listed on our website may not have worked with PepTalk in the past, they are recognized professionals in the industry and known to engage in similar events and engagements. We work with a wide variety of speaker agents and talent agencies to ensure we have the best selection of speakers, hosts, comedians and entertainers available.

Can I request a speaker to send a personal greeting?

We do not accommodate requests for birthday messages or any other personal, non-commercial contact with the speakers, comedians or entertainers.

How much do speakers and comedians cost?

We work with speakers across a variety of fee ranges, giving you the flexibility to choose someone who fits your event's needs. Virtual keynote fees in the UK and Europe typically start at £2,000, while in-person top-tier speakers can reach £25,000. In the US, virtual in-person fees range from $5,000 to over $100,000, depending on the speaker and format, such as after-dinner talks, conference keynotes, Q&As, or podcasts. Comedians generally start at £1,500 or $2,000 for a 20-minute set.

Our goal is to help you find the speaker who best matches your event’s goals and budget. We take the time to understand your event, objectives, and audience to recommend the right fit. The most expensive option isn’t always the best one, and our priority is finding the ideal speaker or expert for your needs; not the highest-priced one.
