Molly's skiing career began despite a severe scoliosis diagnosis at age 12, which required spinal fusion surgery. Defying expectations, she returned to skiing within a year, joined the U.S. Ski Team at 19, and ranked #3 in North America in moguls by 20. However, a crash during Olympic qualifiers forced her to retire from the sport.
After completing her political science degree at the University of Colorado, Molly moved to Los Angeles to work as a waitress and personal assistant. She became involved in a high-stakes poker game and eventually started her own operation, "Molly’s Game." Over six years, she built a multi-million-dollar business before it was raided by the FBI. Despite losing everything, she remained committed to her principles.
Molly then focused on writing her memoir. While publishers showed interest, they wanted her to disclose names, which she refused. Eventually, she found a publisher willing to work on her terms, leading to the success of "Molly’s Game" and its adaptation into a film by Aaron Sorkin.
Today, Molly is a sought-after speaker, podcast host, mother, and advocate for women. She founded the One World Group in 2020 to connect people globally, particularly women facing challenges. In 2022, she launched "Torched," a podcast that delves into Olympic controversies and the sacrifices of athletes. Molly has been featured on various media platforms, including Ellen, NPR, and Forbes.
