After qualifying as a solicitor, Henry built a career spanning both private practice and in-house counsel roles. These experiences gave him first-hand insight into the cultural issues that can undermine wellbeing in the workplace. Rather than staying silent, he began using social media to share observations with a blend of humour and clarity that struck a chord with professionals navigating similar pressures. His candid and often sharp reflections on work-life balance, leadership behaviour and generational perspectives have made him a distinctive voice in the legal and corporate space.
Henry has delivered talks at leading institutions including Oxford and Cambridge universities, appeared on BBC World News, and spoken at conferences and within organisations across the UK. His TEDx talk explored the effects of toxic masculinity on men’s mental health, adding to his broader mission of normalising open conversations around emotional wellbeing.
Alongside his speaking and legal work, Henry is co-founder of a company that helps law firms harness short-form video for professional storytelling, and of a creator community that supports content creators navigating the digital space. Whether addressing law students, senior partners or cross-industry audiences, Henry’s message is consistent: workplace culture needs to evolve, and mental health must be part of that conversation.
Topics, Sessions And Talks
Henry Nelson-Case explores how toxic masculinity prevents men from addressing their mental health. Drawing from personal experience and wider cultural patterns, he highlights the damaging expectations placed on men in both professional and social contexts. With clarity and compassion, Henry challenges the silence surrounding male vulnerability and encourages a healthier model of masculinity that allows openness and support.
Henry Nelson-Case examines the particular mental health challenges faced by legal professionals. Drawing on his own legal background, he identifies the structural and cultural pressures unique to the profession, from long hours to perfectionism and competition. He discusses how changes in mindset, policy and culture can create healthier environments for current and future lawyers.
In this session, Henry Nelson-Case addresses the often-overlooked role leadership plays in shaping workplace wellbeing. He explores how senior behaviour within legal teams sets the tone for junior colleagues, affecting morale, productivity and mental health. With thoughtful insight, he offers guidance on how leaders can model positive culture and drive meaningful change.
Henry Nelson-Case explores the generational divide in attitudes toward work and wellbeing. He reflects on how younger professionals are vocal about the need for balance, transparency and purpose - but face resistance from traditional workplace norms. Henry's perspective offers a thought-provoking look at how companies can genuinely listen and adapt to these calls for change.
Henry Nelson-Case discusses the rise of legal content creators and how they are reshaping perceptions of the profession. With experience as both lawyer and creator, he delves into the value of humour, authenticity and storytelling in engaging with a new generation of legal professionals.
