She earned her BA from Dartmouth College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and holds an MS and PhD in development sociology from Cornell University. She currently serves as a guest lecturer at ETH Zurich, and her research has been supported by the US and Swiss National Science Foundations, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and others.

Comedians generally start at £1,500 or $2,000 for a 20-minute set.
