Andrew has held a range of senior roles including Director of the Bank of England, non-executive Director of Barclays Bank plc, and national independent non-executive director of Times Newspapers Holdings Ltd. He led the UK Government Finance Service, served on the Cadbury Committee on corporate governance, and was President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. His book, Judgement at Work: Making Better Choices, was published in 2025, building on a body of research that includes his widely cited Harvard Business Review article on the elements of good judgement.
Andrew’s experience spans public finance, corporate governance, and organisational performance across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He has advised House of Commons Select Committees, chaired the National Audit Office, and contributed to international reviews of United Nations governance. Virtual keynote fees in the UK and Europe typically start at £2,000, while in-person top-tier speakers can reach £25,000. In the US, virtual in-person fees range from $5,000 to over $100,000, depending on the speaker and format, such as after-dinner talks, conference keynotes, Q&As, or podcasts. Comedians generally start at £1,500 or $2,000 for a 20-minute set.
